NLC Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100+ Cities

To celebrate its centennial milestone, NLC hit the road for the “NLC Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100 Cities” to highlight our members, partners, and the transformative progress we’ve accomplished together. During this journey, NLC visited more than 130 cities to spotlight the unique stories of municipalities and the invaluable relationships they’ve cultivated with NLC. Check out our journey below.

Where it All Started: Lawrence, Kansas The Centennial Roadshow kicked off in February 2024 from the birthplace of NLC

In December of 1924, ten state municipal leagues came together in Lawrence, Kansas a the the University of Kansas in Fraser Hall to create what is now known as the National League of Cities. 

To officially kick off the Roadshow, NLC traveled to the place where it all began.
